Cōfresi featuring KOU ‘Better’ Premiere

KOU, the new musical revolution by former The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus drummer Jon Wilkes has released his new single ‘Better’ with the amazing EDM artist Cōfresi. KOU brings an alternative dynamic and anthemic progression to the track with a melody that seeps and flows fluidly into the massive chorus with a lamenting tone.

‘Better’ is rugged and delicate all at once.The duo create a blazing chorus and scorching crescendo filled with rich intricate sonics and textures while strong basslines and the nuanced timing of percussion swirl the track into a whirlwind of heavy EDM and dubstep elements.

The synths create elements of blinding scintillation as the track roller coasters between gigantic drops and tense buildups that lead into sudden bass reverberations and fantastic passionate vocal exclaims from Wilkes.

‘Better’ is a song about how the world needs love and we need each other more than ever. KOU and Cōfresi present this through adrenaline-pumping, ethereal musicianship and deft production. ‘Better’ is quite the invigorating, hair raising anthem and a joy to listen to.

aLLriGhT ‘Music for Riots’

Alt-electronic collective, aLLriGhT have released their debut album ‘Music for Riots’.Hailing from London, band members MiKe and LuKe work together to perfect their skills in beat-making and remixes.

‘Music for Riots’ presents aLLriGhT’s ability to create a heavy dance infused electronic album with dazzling precision and thrilling production. From the jump, it’s clear that the details and particulars of the sound are important to these guys ‘Grasshopper’ sets the album in motion with intricate electronics, meaty beats and a dark sense of suspense that creeps behind a soundscape, evoking images of flashing lights, confusion and a body pounding wall of sound. Their riff – heavy EDM -eque sound is filled with luxurious styles and rich production techniques. Through ‘BreXit’, ‘Bee’, ‘Gazebbo Party’, ‘Get Yourself Up’ and ‘Love’ we get a mix of disco, haunting horror movie elements and dizzying alternative electronics with orchestral stabs and a few pinches of their squelching dance aesthetic. ‘Affanno’ brings us to aLLriGhT’s most chilling and eerie sound yet as ghostly keys chime and twinkle through the electronic bloops and dramatic bursts. It definitely fills you with that feeling you’re being followed down a dark alley to your demise. Slightly less ominous ‘Damned Machine’ brings us to the end of the album with its skittish beats and hyper wall of sound.

Mushroom People ‘La La La La Lie’

German trio Mushroom People have released their new single ‘La La La La Lie’. With their last song ‘LOWWS’, Mushroom People, which is made up of two producers and a vocalist attracted a lot of international attention and made it to #1 on the Hype Machine charts. ‘La La La La Lie’ is a heavy trudging electronic number that slithers in on chilled darkly coated verses of thick bulky drum beats and sticky claustrophobic electronics. The track slaps and crawls through the brooding viscous stuffy soundscapes before it explodes for a dynamic release for the catchy chorus. Steamy guitar solos break up the clammy atmosphere with its zesty sting and sultry licks while a mixture of reggae-ton beats and pan flute injections freshen up this captivating tightly weaved gem.
