Singer songwriter Sal the Musician has released his debut single ‘Low’ which was written by Sal the Musician and documents his struggle with depression and being suicidal.

Jack Rua ‘Scarlet A’

Innovative pop artist Jack Rua has released his debut single ‘Scarlet A’ which was produced by fellow BIMM Dublin alumni Tenderhook. and the nationally-lauded Michael Heffernan. Jack Rua has plans already in motion to collaborate with more prominent Irish artists, as well as to release an EP in late 2019/early 2020.

‘Scarlet A’ is a sultry dark concoction of luring entrapment as Jack Rua blends catchy pop elements with mysterious fermenting electronics to create an invigorating dance pop number. With sticky pulsing beat slaps supporting the infectious foot tapping foundation while subtle flashing electronics create an enticing soundscape its a wholly riveting song. This track captivates you within its polished clean production while the enslaving melody shackles this tune into your mind as Jack Rua’s smooth passionate vocals whisper, coo and seduce throughout. It’s a steamy, catchy number with a compelling edge that charms and bewitches with sublime musicianship.

Birthday Card ‘Shy Away’

After a big year of extensive touring and the release of their acclaimed singles ‘Berlin’ and ‘Something Like Heaven,’ Brighton-based melancholy pop group Birthday Card are starting their 2019 as they mean to go on with a brand-new release. ‘Shy Away’.Having received heavy support and recognition from The 1975’s manager Jamie Oborne for ‘Shy Away’, the band have been turning heads on a regular basis since forming in 2017.

‘Shy Away’ is a chic 80’s flex of indie pop that bounces on an elastic bass groove. Shimmying beats and sublime retro keyboard jingles as Birthday Card flesh out their charming tasty sound. With sharp stings on guitar weaving between the sweet ethereal soundscape while the smooth honey coated melody glides effortlessly upon the biting vibrant backdrop with elegant finesse and laid back vibe. Scutty ‘Replaced Part 1’ EP

From the gritty streets of south east London to a tent in the Tasmanian woods, Scutty’s secretly recorded Debut EP ‘Replaced Part 1’ has been released.A departure from creator Dan Rawlins folk routes, “Scutty” is an experimental music project which was self recorded in South East London, finished off and mixed by Robin Waters in Melbourne and mastered by Will Bowden, a Grammy award winner for his work on GOTYE.

‘Replaced Part 1’ is a unique energetic EP brimming with vibrant rich danceable tunes. Scutty cooks up an innovate selection of swirling electronics, sticky beats and catchy melodies to create an exhilarating concoction.With instant sing along hooks, pop sprinkles and soulful tones in tracks like  ‘I Was Down’ and ‘I’m Gold’ this EP fleshes out the versatility in Scutty’s musicianship. The tracks are light with sluggish beat thuds between fresh ethereal synths and intense atmosphere. ‘Crazy’ brings in some rich rhythms, woody sounds and a funk whiffed R&B hued melody that flutters comfortably upon the fluctuant foundation and trippy techno electronics. While ‘Higher’ closes the EP on an animated disco vibe, leaving you ready for the next rave.

LA trio Mini Mansions have released their new single ‘GummyBear’ taken off their upcoming third studio album ‘Guy Walks Into A Bar…’ which will be released on July 26th on Fiction Records.This fizzy, sugar sweet track struts in, slick and smooth with a luscious dreamy melody soothing the effervescent sticky instrumentation. With a toothsome pop shell, this peppy number swirls and weaves its glossy way into a darker hued bitter center. A little disco- like, the song is brimming with infectious grooves as a funky bass line and buoyant drums fluctuate through the euphoric soundscape creating a rich elastic foundation. The twinkling keys wander playfully about the majestic zesty sting on guitar as Mini Mansions flesh out this delectable biting number. From the anthemic thudding start right through to the wobbly guitar tickles and chiming key injections this track is steeped in chic panache and effortless charm. Tyler Parkford’s sweet falsetto vocals blend perfectly with Michael Shuman’s depth creating a full bodied sound that is so satisfying. Doused in effortless swagger ‘GummyBear’ is another suave track from the melody masters, Mini Mansions.

Lead singer Michael Shuman says of ‘GummyBear’, “Although GummyBear is rather fun and comical, the sentiment and story behind it are quite the opposite. At that time I really wanted to make an all disco record, but I guess this is as close as Mini Mansions gets to being part of the Gibbs family.”

Mini Mansions will be touring the UK and Ireland in May, including several festivals and a show at Dublin’s Whelan’s.. Tickets are on general sale from 9am GMT, Thursday 21st February.

No Alarms ‘Marble Bars’

Indie band No Alarms have released their new single ‘Marble Bars’.No Alarms was born in Texas as the solo passion project of multi-instrumentalist Andrew Boles, and has since bloomed into a Detroit-based, fully-fledged, five-piece. Their single ‘Right is What’s Left’ was featured in an episode of ABC’s “Kevin Probably Saves the World’ and their ‘No Alarms’ EP was the 13th most added record on NACC college charts its debut week, and has since peaked at #132 on the NACC 200.

‘Marble Bars’ is a slick ethereal burst of youthful indie. it is brimming with lush synths creating that instant rush of adrenaline while a rooted rhythmic backdrop stomps and bounces on a fluctuant meaty heart thumping foundation. The track is compelling and filled with passion as the warm vocals caress the catchy sweet melody. No Alarms showcase their fine musicianship as they grip your heart firmly with every note, synth lick and guitar flutter. They douse the track in a youthful flurry of urgency while light zesty twinkles on guitar flicker in and out with an edgy sting and refreshing burst of energy. Heir ‘Better In Silence’

Heir celebrate the announcement of their tour in April with the release of their new song, ‘Better In Silence’. Following their previous single, ‘Restless’ the band continue to display class and courage with another carving of irresistible DIY-pop music. 2018 saw the band launch their own collaborative arts night, Blueprint. The event brings together bands and visual artists for a display of high quality creation. Heir also spent the latter half of the year working with producer Ken Scott (The Beatles, David Bowie, Elton John).

‘Better In Silence’ is a glorious light airy indie number grounded with a sublime elastic bass rumble and sticky beat slaps. Heir flesh out their sophisticated, polished sound with crisp production, shimmering electronics and luscious melodies. It’s refined and chic with a swanky funk flex glimmering through the rich basslines, jangly guitars and rhythmic bounce. The smooth vocals caress and soften this honey melody with a sweet coo, lush harmonies and dreamy falsetto while the zesty guitars add a dash of vitality and juicy sting to the track. Motions ‘Play The Hits’ Premiere

Motions are an indie band from Dublin. Following the release of their well received ‘Late Night Calls’ EP in 2018, alongside a string of gigs and festival appearances across Ireland they have released their new single ‘Play The Hits’. . The track was written by Dave Nulty & Tom Daly and produced by Alessio Buso.

‘Play The Hits’ is a synth laced dance number luxuriate in 80’s speckled electronics. This catchy dance number is infused with rich flashing soundscapes as shimmering synths flicker and playfully ricochet off snappy beats and skittish rhythms. With a swirling ethereal atmosphere jangly guitars and smooth warm vocals this infectious number struts in cool and effortless with sticky scorching sun kissed electronics hooking it firmly into your brain. A few pinches of indie zest is sprinkled on top of this pop steeped anthem making it a charming shuffle-ready tune from Motions.

RAFFER ‘The Media’

RAFFER has released the first single from his upcoming self-titled EP ‘The Media’. This self-produced piece lyrically explores the falsehood today’s media sell to the general public. RAFFER – aka. Callum Rafferty  is the DIY indie-pop artist/producer from Kent who has spent the past year supporting some household indie names including King No-One, The Academic and Airways.

‘The Media’ is a fizzy mix of sun-blasted synths,zingy guitars and delicious pop smacked melodies. Brimming with infectious guitar hooks this vibrant delight, toe taps its way through buoyant bass lines, rich rhythms and sparkling electronics. Snappy and sprightly it frolics its way around you brain seeping that honey drizzled melody into your easy until you are dancing and singing along. Chaunter ‘Boo Cat’

Baltimore songwriting duo Chaunter have released their new track ‘Boo Cat’. Comprised of Jenghis Pettit and Brooks Kossover Chaunter are set to release their first full length album, “Dream Dynamics” featuring an aspirational league of Baltimore heavyweights, from Dan Deacon to Sam Herring of Future Islands to Lower Dens’ Jana Hunter, Matmos, and more.

Boo Cat’ is a charming catchy number whisked up in dreamy synths, sizzling guitars and luscious tranquilizing soundscapes. A soft sugar coated melody soothes and slides through light guitar twinkles and floating atmospheres.The track drifts calmly and sweetly through before a catchy sing along chorus bops in, lifting the song from hazy and dreamy to sprightly and infectious. Gentle vocals caress the soft melody delicately before a magnificent group harmony introduces the rich full chorus.
