Why We Like It: It’s a dark, luring track shrouded in dazing psychedelic synths, mystery, and cinematic melodies. The deep enticing vocals create an eerie atmosphere for the verses while a strident galloping guitar and steady rhythm anchor the track’s wispy haunting tendencies. The song unfolds becoming more psychedelic as it reaches its crescendo allowing the falsetto by Dan Fitzpatrick provide a contrasting sweetness and sense of innocence. They have further written and produced theatrical soundtracks at the Camden Peoples’ Theatre, and provided original compositions for XR London.‘Folds’ is the first of five songs written in 2020, as Pushpin got to grips with being a “virtual-based band”. Working apart, they exchanged voice notes, sampled microwaves, pots and pans, hoovers and whatever was to hand during the lockdown.

Bio : Zimbabwe-born, Kildare-raised singer-songwriter Shiv has released the lyric video for her recently released single ‘Letting You Know’, the third to be taken from her debut EP ‘Me 2 Me’.The lyric video is a lo-fi visual storyboard shot in Paris, where Shiv recently relocated to continue exploring her creative process. The Decades

Bio : The Decades are a four-piece band based in County Wicklow, Ireland comprised of David Mulvey ( Drums), Myles Keogh ( Bass), Rhys Doyle ( Lead guitar ) and Seán Fox ( Rhythm Guitar and Vocals ). Prior to forming the group, Sean had spent many years working on and performing his own songs, opening for the likes of Aslan and Jerry Fish along the way.The group originally came together in the early months of 2020 when both Sean and David met in a music production class in college.

Wild Tibetan Monks

Bio : Wild Tibetan Monks are an indie rock band from Dublin comprised of Sean (bass, vocals), Ringo (guitar), and Liam (drums). They met and banded in college in 2011 and performed together for several years, playing covers as well as original material. In 2018 the band traded Dublin for Perth, Australia for a two-year journey of music and exploration. The band toured around Western Australia, and had a varied lineup over the years, including different singers and a horn section. They also began recording their original music.

Why We Like It: It’s a blistering and emotive whack of indie rock as the band use ambient soundscapes to create a tense and airy atmosphere. A repetitive cold refrain on guitar pulses while a wriggling bass line wanders though the tracks spacious backdrop allowing the drum’s light bounce to maintain the foot tapping beat for the verses. The sublime tension boils over for the chorus as the trio flesh out their blazing rock edge. With emotive rasped vocals, oozing passion from every note ‘Cartoons’ is a sublime new track. The meticulous build and shredding guitar work makes Wild Tibetan Monks a band to keep an eye on.

Bio : Electric Blue is the debut single by UK singer songwriter Charles Darling.The song is about the initial spark of connection you feel with someone when you’re first getting to know them. The song is an autobiographical story written with an air of fantasy around its own events. Bio : The Lathums are a melodic indie band from Wigan. The band have released a video for their single ‘I See Your Ghost’.The single follows the announcement that the community-minded band will cut just one, 7″ copy of their cover of Northern Soul classic, The Snake, with owning the one-off record being the only chance of ever hearing it. Ticket holders in an online raffle to grab the vinyl have already raised close to £4,000 to support the fan-led fund to save Wigan Athletic.

Why We Like It: This catchy brisk number bounces upon skittish beats jaunty guitars and a deft dead summoning bass. The rapid lyrics slip through the frantic instrumentation with a cool tone while the vocals coo and haunt all at once. The tempo keeps the tracks brisk pace ticking along like a time bomb. The song is both chilling, spooky and vibrantly dynamic as the band create enticing ethereal verses before whacking out a massive hook laced chorus. Bio : Dublin native Stephen Cooper started playing music at a young age, performing in various bands before starting solo project Fly the Nest, a name inspired by moving on from a previous musical journey and the adventures music has led him on. Stephen now spends his time between Ireland and Denmark, and gigs regularly across Scandinavia.
