Dublin quartet Inhaler have released their new single ‘Ice Cream Sundae’. The song is the band’s first release via Polydor. Produced by Antony Genn, Ice Cream Sundae is the band’s third single, following on from the atmospheric pop of “My Honest Face” and the expansive epic “It Won’t Always Be Like This”. Elijah Hewson (vocals, guitar), Josh Jenkinson (guitar), Robert Keating (bass) and Ryan McMahon (drums) formed in school in Dublin.
‘Ice Cream Sundae’ is a majestic indie rock anthem glistening with sweet pop nostalgia as Inhaler layer their track in a glossy melancholic shell while maintaining that indie punch. With chiming guitars sparkling beneath the jagged riff and rooted bass groove this swayable gem swoons and drifts on a candy floss dreamy melody while the passionate vocals coo and lament throughout. The band have created a professional tight number that flows beautifully on emotion, refined musicianship and polished production. These guys are ones to keep an eye on, each track they released buries their sound firmly into your ears making them unforgettable. Inhaler are a band to get excited about.
About the track singer Elijah Hewson says : “It’s about loss and gain, I like writing about normal teenage experiences that everybody can relate to. I’m just trying to write about the joy of being alive, being a teenager, and the bad things that can come with that.”
