‘In The Meantime’ gives us a taste of what Jester have in store with their upcoming album. It’s a passionate number with a fist pumping chorus, sweet melody and a tight anthemic wall of sound. It’s a big tune filled with those simple pleasures that hit all the right spots- jangly guitars, steady rhythmic bounces, lush backing vocals and an elastic bass rumble. This tender ditty is easy on the ears as it travels along a bittersweet melancholic melody while smooth vocals seep emotion into the track before it explodes into the sing along ready chorus. Light vibrant guitar elements crash and flicker between that sublime bass line while punchy drums and the ethereal breezy atmosphere floods the track in lonely, icy tones. It’s slick, polished and well crafted as Jester surge soul and meaning into every bruised note. It’s the sound of raw heartfelt passion canned and compressed for your aural pleasure.
