Indie Buddie Introducing: The Indica Gallery

The Indica Gallery are a psychedelic quintet based in Liverpool comprised of members Joe Mansergh (Vocals + Guitar), Michael Spence (Keys + Vocals), Zack Smith (Drums + Percussion) , Finlay Lovett (Bass + Vocals) and Ryan Patterson (Lead Guitar). On 20th of April the band will be releasing their debut single ‘Forever Loving You’. It’s a lusciously melodic breezy number that floats in on a dreamboat of euphoric melancholic mellowness. Jangly guitars twinkle between a spongy beat, subtle swirling keys lavishly flood the track with tranquilising psychedelic tones while velvety vocals seep passion into this soothing song. With a 60’s -esque melody melting upon a slow jam indie rock backdrop with some power pop bursts thrown in – The Indica Gallery have created a wholly satisfying listen. Crooning in on a light fluffy cloud of delicate psychedelic wisps with a gentle edge pushing it through this track is a beautiful blend of The Beatles mixed with Oasis with a sprinkling of Miles Kane on top. It’s sharp, ethereal and well put together. A sublime debut from The Indica Gallery.

You can catch The Indica Gallery live at The Yellow Earl – Whitehaven on 20/04/18 (Supporting Twisted Wheel)

The Bandicoots ‘Dead End Street’

Ontario indie rock Quartet The Bandicoots have released their new single ‘Dead End Street’ from their new EP ‘Zolly’. Band members Nicolai Kozel (Guitar), Andrew Parkinson (Drums and Vocals), Lorant Polya (Bass), and Justin Ross (Guitar and Vocals) give us a trippy delusional track reminiscent of sixties rock. It’s a dreamy hazy addictive high of seduction smothered in sultry psychedelia and sweet luscious melodies. With twinkling guitars layered upon a soft beat this track swoons with a laid back steamy stroll and elegant glide. Classy yet sinister featuring creepy backing vocals and eerie guitars. It’s a smoke and mirrors track drenched in steamy hazy illusions and mystery which is chilling and hair- raisingly enticing. It’s a must listen.

Nash ‘CK’

London-based singer songwriter Nash has released his debut EP ‘She Don’t Know’. Recorded at the legendary RAK Studios, ‘She Don’t Know’ has the feel of 60s rock but with a modern twist, Listening to the Beatles and Jack White growing up and being influenced by their melodic sentiment and dirty sound, Nash started working with producer JB Pilon in 2016 to record his debut EP. Nash uses a 60s vibe to speak about love and every dimension of it that he went through. Euphoric and playful, angry and noir-esque, his music is an introduction to the desperate escape of a young professional in rock music.
The leading single ‘CK’ is an infectious groovy track smothered in playful energetic vibes. This nifty track exudes swagger and exuberant flamboyance. Punchy drums pound through the track with relentless bounce and stamina while razor sharp zesty guitar shreds with a blistering strut quality and fire. Its that slick spirited track that seeps effortlessly cool panache and charm. Its high energy and infectious chorus will have you up dancing and shimmying while bellowing out the lyrics in no time. Those swanky guitar strides dazzle with mesmerising charisma and that shredding solo, spectacularly thrilling.
