Heez ‘This time will be different’ Album

Heez has released his new album ‘This time will be different’. The sensual groovy ‘Aphysical’ kicks off the album featuring sweet vocals from Culture Child. Previously featured  on Indie Buddie this track has R&B soul entwined with  dark clammy sultry flexwave. ‘Whoa there’ is brimming with Heez’s swagger filled attitude and sauve. Sticky beats ricochet off ethnic tinged swirling  soundscapes while aggressive rapped vocals flow with venom-filled vigour. Its cruising slick and steamy while holding a nice bit of punch. ‘Sins’ featuring Trip Carter displays a brighter bubbly side to Heez’s sound. Still oozing swagger and panache from its core this sleek ditty radiates sunshine and good times. Sweet melody caresses the soft beat and gliding electronics. This is the perfect summer tune – cool breezy, sun kissed and catchy as hell. ‘Curfew’ bleeds emotion and passion to a body grooving beat and flashes of electronics. Dramatic and heavy its hard hitting and deeply emotive. With an exotic guitar feature its delicate and balmy and richly textured. ‘Slow me down’ featuring the beautiful voice of Kiki Halliday closes the album with pulsing beats dreamy tones and a delicious arrangement. Its melty melody is delicate and tender flowing with such grace and beauty while still maintaining Heez’s sticky drippy electronics. Halliday’s vocals blend perfectly with Heez’s it’s quite touching and sweet.

Heez has proven with ‘This time will be different’ album that he has a knack with melodies and a refined ear for complex sublime arrangements. At times, its tough and aggressive punchy and dark other times its sweet delicate and touching. He blends these seamlessly creating a unique exquisite album that’s absorbing.

Inner Tongue ‘Dig Deeper’

Inner Tongue has released his new single ‘Dig Deeper’ taken from his forthcoming debut album, which will be released early next year. The song is about the adrenaline you feel before take off, the seconds in weightlessness and the eventuating Netflix-boredom, that can be ultimately freeing. It’s a light floatable swish of sweet lush elegance. Fluttering and free this track is weightless and dainty with smooth velvety vocals melted on a  honey drizzled melody and warm mellow toned keys bouncing with floaty buoyancy. It’s a dreamy hazy bubble to loose yourself in where everything is gentle, soft and painless. The sticky beat and wobbly soundscape adds a psychedelic dream-like opiate state of ecstasy. Each musical movement carries a sense of depth as if intricately thought out and crafted with care and precise detail. It’s poetically beautiful, unbinding and silky. It’s lush heaven for the ears.

 

When asked about the song Inner Tongue said “I recently bought an old Roland Space Chorus and had a good time experimenting with it in the studio. The moody drum sound I’ve created with it, was somewhat inspiring, so I recorded a few chords and vocals over it. That’s how Dig Deeper started. With the video I wanted to visualise the effortless character of the song. The filming was more like a party with wild lights and smoke. Random fact, at around 2 AM we put on a few Bowie songs and danced to them instead. Some of that also ended up in the video.”

Mura Masa ‘Blu’ and ‘Second 2 None’

Mura Masa the Guernsey-born producer, whose debut album assimilates an impressively diverse array of genres and guests including the likes of Charli XCX, A$AP Rocky, A.K Paul, and affiliates of Alex’s own Anchor Point family like Nao, Bonzai and Tom Tripp). He has unveiled ‘Blu’ (featuring Damon Albarn) and ‘Second 2 None’ (featuring Christine & The Queens), taken from his much-anticipated, self-titled debut album. With the former premiering as Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 World Record and the latter Radio 1’s Hottest Record In The World, ‘Mura Masa’ will be released on July 14th on Anchor Point/Polydor Records.
‘Blu’ is a dense heavy emotional track. Layered vocals delicately painted upon intricate lush arrangements create a passionate sonically profound track that boasts Mura Masa’s refined craft. This slow burner cruises and glides with soul and passion while filling out the sound with rich nature-like sounds. The track takes you into an earthy natural state of paradise that is instantly relaxing and time stopping.
‘Second 2 None’ brings us zesty ethereal twists with interweaving beats tooting synths and breezy flute sounds. This sweet little ditty stutters and bleeps with thrilling euphoria. The infectious slap beats groove with a body moving sway while Christine and The Queens’ vocals add passion and heartfelt pure emotion. Its luscious celestial soundscape transports you to another beautiful world that’s fresh and crisp with sublime production that is simply masterful.
Mura Masa is bending and warping genre lines and completely altering the way music is enjoyed. With Mura Masa it feels like an experience- an entrancing, beautiful, compelling experience.

Heez ‘Aphysical’

Heez has released his new track ‘Aphysical’ featuring Culture Child. This sensual groovy slow burner cruises with sharp blips and gooey beats. Coated in a darkened clinging almost gluey electronics with a luring steamy melody this track brings R&B soul intermix with clammy sultry flexwave. This muggy track suffocates like a stuffy room on a hot day with nothing but the gentle refreshing cooing vocals from Culture Child and zesty instrumental twangs acting like a brief cooling breeze.
‘Aphysical’ was recorded by Heez and Culture Child in Heez’s college apartment in June 2016. When asked about the track Heez said “The song is about creating your own world that you want to live in outside of this one and sharing that beautiful experience with somebody else”

Freak Static ‘Lustless’ EP

One man alternative singer-songwriter Freak Static has released his debut EP ‘Lustless’. After an intensive two years of writing, recording and producing, this 3-track is just a preview of whats to come. After playing as part of a band in the past, Freak Static decided to experiment with a solo project. Taking inspiration from the rise of DIY artists such as Tame Impala, UMO and St Vincent, the EP is entirely self-written, self-recorded and self-produced. ‘Lustless’ was recorded throughout the night whilst juggling a full time job. As a multi-instrumentalist, Freak Static played every instrument used for each track and now aims to inspire other musicians and artists to use the technology available to achieve their dreams.
‘Lustless’ is a three track groovy psychedelic tinged braid mingled and merged with swirling bright electronics. ‘King Kong’ is our first shot of Freak Static’s funky twisted coagulated sound. Soaked in strut-like swagger and infectious beats this track bounces with jagged hops. Eccentric electronics bleep and bloop while the track flows in a reggae-like groove and cool persona. ‘Forget Her’ follows as a slower chic passionate track. Heavier drum beats with distortion on guitars add an aggressive vibe to the track. Its a shaggy spiky track smoothened off with a zesty sensual guitar solo. ‘Snooze’ is the final track on the EP beginning with a delicate twinkle and soft vocals that build and become more dynamic. It creeps in like the soundtrack to an eerie horror movie and then brightens becoming light and silky. This fuzz filled powerful track croons with sorrow filled tones that progress into vibrant peppy animation. Coated in distortion with a dub step feel it’s a mighty meaty finish to an exceptional EP.
Now that the EP is completed, Freak Static is embarking upon the process of figuring out how to take his act live whilst remaining authentic. So keep an eye out for his live shows they  are sure to be extraordinary.

Ivory Wave ‘Separate Beat’

Birmingham’s Ivory Wave have released their new single ‘Separate Beat’. The new track which the band have been debuting live at gigs across the midlands, is produced by Matt Terry and recorded at Warwickshire’s Vada Studios.

‘Separate Beat’ is a psychedelic trip swirling with narcotic dizzying soundscapes. Sparkling zealous guitars  and mind expanding synths swirl with euphoric bliss while lush lulling backing vocals take the track to a hazy dreamy state. The commanding vocals and heavy beat becomes the steady anchor to hold on to while the track attempts to sweep you up into its woozy hypnotic  electronics. Its a track for relentless dancing.

Second Hand Spaceman ‘Blast Off’ Album

 

Electronic Producer Second Hand Spaceman is set to release  his debut album ‘Blast Off’ on 28th April with 100% of Pre-Order sales being donated to the World Land Trust to help them with their vital rainforest conservation work and to help to spread a positive, educational message about saving the environment. This is the first project embarked upon by Second Hand Spaceman. The album itself has been a work in progress for the past 18 months and was self-written, recorded and produced.
‘Blast Off’ is a viscid flex of electronic grooves mixed with orchestral and ambient flavours splashed against a host of synthesisers with a hint of hip hop thrown in. Right from the first track on the album, ‘Nice Planet’ Second Hand Spaceman sucks you into his spacey eerie vibe with spooky alien-like soundscapes and sticky beats. Its a wobbly electronic phenomenon. ‘Blast Off’ brings us a big band bouncy feel, vibrant and bright with brass-like sounds and triumphant vibes. Throughout the album Second Hand Spaceman shows off his skill to create a cinematic visual for the listeners to experience from jubilant hearty sounds to delicate twinkling in tracks such as ‘Uncharted’ and ‘Discovery’. A sense of magical elegance is created with sparkling light keys against an edgy sonic background. S.O.S ‘Silent Witness’

Bedford-based, 22-year-old singer songwriter Sophie Debattista aka S.O.S. has released her eagerly awaited second single ‘Silent Witness’ off her debut EP ‘Edges Of The Mind’. S.O.S is a first-class graduate from The Institute Of Contemporary Music Performance. She headed the production team on the trend-setting track alongside the renowned mastering engineer Shane the Cutter who has worked with the likes of Nathan Fake, Luke Abbott, Blu Mar Ten and DJ Shadow amongst others. The young singer has supported US superstars Ciara and Ariana Grande, British legends Take That and One Direction whilst playing top venues such as the NEC Birmingham, The Roundhouse Camden, IndigO2, O2 Islington Academy, Barfly Camden, Proud Camden (headliner), Troubadour (headliner) and The Water Rats to name a few. S.O.S’s tantalising lead single ‘Bittersweet’ received top press coverage and radio play including support from the likes of BBC Introducing, BBC6’s Tom Robinson and Clash Music amongst many others.
‘Silent Witness’ is a glossy pop track laced in sticky tar- like darkened electronics. This catchy track holds an air of mystery and shadowy tones with almost whispered seductive vocals for the verse luring you into the entrapment of the infectious chorus. The track displays crisp production and well blended crafted sounds, featuring pulsing sticky electronically influenced beats and intricate detailed lyrics. Smothered in intensity this track is a catchy vibrant pop tune cloaked with dark gluey electronics. The electro-pop tune will be accompanied by an edgy and intense music video created by up-and-coming director AJ Ullah and will be released on the 14th April via her independent label Sossy Music.

When asked about the track Sophie said:
“Silent Witness is about a young girl who finds herself in a difficult situation. She’s at an age where her friends are beginning to experiment with new ventures however she doesn’t feel like she’s ready to join them just yet and doesn’t want to rush into maturing too quickly. When she finds herself in the wrong place at the wrong time, she has to make an important decision whether to live up to her friends’ expectations or whether to listen to her heart and not go through with it. The song explores the different emotions that the young girl goes through at this tough time. She wants to remain credible but wants to be sensible, so does she go through with it? You’ll have to listen to the song to find out…”.

MYA Project ‘It’s All About Imagination’

MYA Project is the alternative, electronic/acoustic pop creation from Dalila Mya. Originating from Europe, now based in Los Angeles, this musical creativity comes from a background of classical training combined with a Sound Engineering Degree. MYA Project is a fusion of electronic and acoustic music, where Trip-Hop meets World Music and Pop Rock. Dalila’s background has seen her work as a Live Sound Engineer, working with artists such as Tool, Depeche Mode, Alabama Three and Massive Attack. Besides her live work, she has worked as a Studio Sound Engineer for several studios in England and the U.S.A., including Abbey Road in London and The Village Studio in Los Angeles. Dalila has her own recording studio in LA where she produces all her works including the new release ‘MK’. MYA Project released the 10-track debut, ‘MK’ on the 3rd of March through Milky Bomb Records and has now released the video for the single ‘It’s All About Imagination’.
‘It’s All About Imagination’ is haunting goosebump inducing euphoria. Subtle electronics seep in with eerie tones while the enchanting luring melody seduces, fused with slow groovy dance influenced beats. Swirling interweaving electronics create a dizzy narcotic effect while a captivating bassline and sting on guitars add a razor sharp edge and rock influence. Funky sway-like rhythm adds an elasticity and malleability to this bewitching track while spacey futuristic electronic flashes add a chilling obscurity. Velvety smooth sweet enticing vocals lead you down a musical rabbit hole of hazy spiralling delirium. With a mind numbing illusion rippling effect ‘It’s All About Imagination’ is an experience that will have you in a trance.

Atlanta Snow ‘Perfect Symphony’

Atlanta Snow (formerly Stefansson) are a new project, fronted by Singer / Songwriter / Producer; Matt Woodruff, who’s sound showcases a vibrant, contrasting and expressive approach to Electronic / Pop music. Atlanta Snow’s attitude is all about connecting with listeners through high-energy release, uplifting melodies, and fat low end that makes the floor shake. Mixed by Dave Darlington in NYC (Avicii, Bob Sinclar, Sting), the new single ‘Perfect Symphony’ is full of catchy pop hooks with ambition flowing throughout. It is an uplifting anthem that features a sublime vocal performance by Woodruff. Its edgy pop synth-heavy alternative rock that is exhilarating. Breezy synths laced over soaring vocals and ethereal melodies make this track a sublime piece of musicianship. Heavy beats give this track a dance feel, its inspiriting and invigorating with enough rawness to create a razor sharp edge and bite.
‘Perfect Symphony’ is Atlanta Snow’s second single from their upcoming album and is the first track of what is to be an exciting year for the project.
