The Flavians ‘Non Stop Fun (All I Wanted)’

The Flavians have released their new single called ‘Non Stop Fun (All I Wanted)’. The track was recorded over the span of a year in various spaces around Berlin, Germany and in Nässjö, Sweden using a mix of analogue and digital gear with instruments from the 60s and 70s. The track was finally mixed by Fabio Buemi in TRIXX Studios, Berlin and then mastered by Steve Fallone at Sterling Sound, NY. The single will be the second release from The Flavians’ first album ‘Ordinary People in an Ordinary World’. The band has been playing support shows across Germany and The Czech Republic while filling out venues such as Cassiopeia and Badehaus in their adoptive hometown. Furthermore, they have built up a strong following through social media and their last single ‘On the Radio’, has racked up over 150,000 streams and been played on over 50 radio stations worldwide.  

‘Non Stop Fun (All I Wanted)’ is an easy going pop sprinkled gem that bounces along in a dreamy soft 60’s-eque soundscape while intelligent witty lyrics glide upon the sugar coated melody. These guys tell a story perfectly as lush backing vocals lull in the background while jangly keys twinkle around laid back guitar strides and punchy drums. It’s candied exterior makes this track so easy on the ears as The Flavians flesh out their catchy melodies and infectious bopping light instrumentation. The National Treasure that is Gavin Glass has just released a live video for the track ‘Horseshoe Tattoo’. The track, taken from his critically acclaimed 5th album, ‘Opus Pocus’ and is the follow up to the singles ‘Break Your Daddy’s Heart’, and ‘Thirty Somethings’.

Crome Yellow ‘Lately’

Waterford band Crome Yellow have released their new single ‘Lately’. Combining a modern sound with that of the 60s and 70s, the band create a vibrant, guitar and synth-driven texture.
The band launched their latest EP ‘Yellow Road’ in June of 2017 after settling on their current lineup. Having grown a massive loyal fanbase in Waterford, they have been expanding their operations into Dublin and Cork with an eye to accomplishing the same there.

‘Lately’ is a sun kissed melodically rich number that lifts you in a glorious swoosh of the psychedelic hued indie pop Crome Yellow do superbly. With buoyant rhythms playfully bouncing between vibrant guitar jangles and alien-esque synth features, which entwine their blissful obscurity around the euphoric upbeat backdrop while smooth velvety vocals coo over a honey drenched infectious melody- this track is one dreamy radiant number that is sure to put a smile on your face. Our Worth A Listen Track This Week Comes From Jack Perrett

Newport newcomer Jack Perrett has released his new single ‘Like A Fever’. Ahead of its release the track had already been played by Janice Long on BBC Radio Wales and Charlie Ashcroft on Amazing Radio.Set in the his hometown Newport, Jack Perrett’s previous single was a parody based on Blur’s Parklife. ‘Portlife’ went viral, reaching more than 100,000 views.Since then Jack has been busy recording his latest bombastic indie anthem at Rat Trap Studios in Cardiff with producer Steffan Pringle.

‘Like A Fever’ is a scalding invigorating indie anthem that steam rolls straight in, taking no prisoners as it obliterates your mind with blistering guitar, punchy drums and fiery adrenaline. It’s an energetic number that relentlessly slices through at a brisk exhilarating pace while a catchy pop sprinkled melody takes its infectious hold, rendering you powerless to its fiery seduction. The snappy rhythm creates a buoyant foundation for the shrilling guitar riffs and intoxicating soundscape to spring and ricochet off. About the track Perrett explains “The song started off with a guitar riff that I had. Then I had a couple of verses with lyrics based around chord progression. Lyrically, the song is about the people who go out in their own city centers every Saturday night and get into trouble after not handling their drink. It is sort of me saying ‘Why waste your money every weekend on drinking in the same nightclub surrounded by the same people who you don’t even like?’ After a few practices in the studio I started playing it live with the band and people watching us were loving it so it had to be the next single.”

The Burma ‘Quicksand’

Cork indie rock n’roll band, The Burma have released their new single ‘Quicksand’. The Burma released their debut EP ‘Her Eyes On Horizons’ in June 2017 and embarked on a successful Irish tour, headlining venues such as Whelans, Roisin Dubh and Coughlans. They have supported the likes of The Academic, The Strypes, Delorentos, The Blizzards and Ryan Sheridan in the past and have a run of Irish dates coming up in November to support the single.

‘Quicksand’ showcases The Burma’s invigorating indie sound in all its illustrious glory. Swirling with ethereal soundscapes of jangly guitars glistening and soaring over a punchy drum and buoyant bass foundation this track is a refreshing melodic offering from the band. The biting guitars weave zesty stings between the aerial backdrop providing a zealous sharpness and bitterness superbly contrasting  the smooth vocals and laid back melody which rest comfortably in your ears. The Covasettes ‘Wild’

Manchester indie-rock band, The Covasettes​ are set to release their fourth single tomorrow October 12th. Following the success of their last single ‘Top Drawer’, which achieved over 200,000 plays on Spotify. The band comprised of Chris Buxton (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Matt Hewlett (Lead Guitar/Vocals), Jamie McIntyre (Bass/Vocals) and Matt Buckley (Drums/Percussion) are back with their new single ‘Wild’.

Young Rising Sons ‘Scatterbrain’

New Jersey’s Young Rising Sons have released their new single ‘Scatterbrain’. The band have seen success performing across the globe with the likes of Halsey, The 1975, & The Neighbourhood. In 2014 Young Rising Sons signed with Goodman & Accettas’ production company, Dirty Canvas Music, and released ‘High’. It garnered the attention of fans and industry executives alike. Liberty Ship ‘Snakes and Ladders’

 Liberty Ship have released their new single ‘Snakes And Ladders’. Liberty Ship are a four piece band from Sheffield. Since forming in school they’ve had 4 successful singles, a number of sold out headline shows under their belt, played major UK festivals (YNOT, Isle of Wight, Leeds & Reading, Kendall Calling) and have gigged with the likes of The Libertines, Reverend and The Makers, Tom Grennan, The Pigeon Detectives and more.The track was recorded and produced by Dave Sanderson and Ed Cosens (Reverend and The Makers) and features collaborative artwork from Emily Richmond and tattoo artist of RedFox Studios, Toby Skelton.

Enemy II Lines ‘What She Said’
