Adam & Elvis have released their new single ‘Doctor Bad Touch’. The bands live shows combine a love for delectable walls of sound and a natural primitive punk energy. So far they have supported 60 legends The Zombies, Splashh, The Correspondents as well as played three separate sets at Y-Not Festival and several shows for BBC introducing Berkshire as well as many other shows around the south of England.
‘Doctor Bad Touch’ is a sinister, darkly twisted number that flickers with a bright sax melody before the murky guitar and smothering synths suffocate the track in ominous cinematic delusion. Its perilous carnival backdrop dances about with quirky soundscapes creating a crazy sort of clamorous atmosphere as the track throbs and creeps in with a Halloween – esque vibe. With pernicious guitars and threatening keys ‘Doctor Bad Touch’ is both euphoric and haunting. The striking keys create a horror movie vibe as the track spirals into motion, like the chugging cogs of an old funfair ride. The morbid lyrics are portrayed by growly gritty vocals that revel in mystery and obscurity. UK noisemakers Perfectparachutepicture have released their new single ‘The Hold’.The track is taken from the band’s killer debut album, No Modern Desire, out on Friday 13th September. Perfectparachutepicture, stylised as PPP, hail from Sheffield and were born in 2013. The emerging noise rock duo consist of bassist Edward James and Kyle Ernest on drums and lead vocals. The twosome have developed a stellar reputation for their high energy and sonically powerful live performances. An explosive main event appearance at this year’s Tramlines Festival, in Hillsborough Park Sheffield, as well as support slots with Turbowolf, Dinosaur Pile Up, Heck, Fangclub and Darlia, has only added greater stock to the band’s recent growth.
‘The Hold’ is an abrasive gash of garage rock as PPP take their rough and tumble sound mince it up and smooth it off to create an exhilarating, raw yet melodically polished track. Verses creep and tease while a gritty bass riff meticulously shears through the track with relentless stamina. The drums pummel and pound creating a beefy groove infested foundation as the band showcase their musical prowess and majestic quality through the sharp, rough yet slinky bass. ‘Rock Is Alive’ is a blazing slinky rock & roll number as John O’Shea stomps, struts and blusters through gritty guitars and blood pumping drums. Dublin quartet Inhaler have released their new single ‘Ice Cream Sundae’. The song is the band’s first release via Polydor. Produced by Antony Genn, Ice Cream Sundae is the band’s third single, following on from the atmospheric pop of “My Honest Face” and the expansive epic “It Won’t Always Be Like This”. Elijah Hewson (vocals, guitar), Josh Jenkinson (guitar), Robert Keating (bass) and Ryan McMahon (drums) formed in school in Dublin.
‘Ice Cream Sundae’ is a majestic indie rock anthem glistening with sweet pop nostalgia as Inhaler layer their track in a glossy melancholic shell while maintaining that indie punch. About the track singer Elijah Hewson says :“It’s about loss and gain, I like writing about normal teenage experiences that everybody can relate to. I’m just trying to write about the joy of being alive, being a teenager, and the bad things that can come with that.”

Hailing from the UK and now residing in Australia, alternative Rock band Kings Union have released their debut single ‘Spirals’ from their upcoming album of the same name set for release on 16th October 2019. Kings Union have released a video, animated by 351 Studio, to accompany the single and in homage to their favourite 90s rock videos.
Baked in gritty riffs and slick instrumentation ‘Spirals’ steam rolls in as Kings Union announce their raw powerful rock with swagger and attitude. With pummeling drums battering through the neck snapping wall of sound the track blisters and boils with hard rock influences. A little Black Sabbath – esque ‘Spirals’ bombards your brain with raw rock, sanded down and funneled into small anthemic bursts for easy consumption. It’s a sturdy debut from Kings Union.
Miles Horn has released his new single ‘Too Much’. It follows a stripped back video of the song which was released earlier this year. The London based balladeer has already won over support from BBC Introducing Oxford and caused a stir on Hype Machine blogs after he self released 4 tracks back in 2017.
‘Too Much’ is a beautiful piano ballad showcasing Miles Horn’s rich and emotive musicianship. The elegant piano twinkles and delicately caresses the track as Horn laments the tender lyrics. The track builds superbly as a choir joins in for the majestic crescendo as Horn drifts seamlessly into his falsetto range. This warm and supple track sweeps and glides on a soft light melody as Horn presents his honest and raw sound through this elegant and wholesome number.

Miles Kane has shared his new single ‘Blame It On The Summertime’. With strut-like quality and rock ‘n’ roll suaveness Kane’s vocals prance through the track exuding effortless swagger. Josh Vine has received great support from BBC Radio Introducing Shropshire, with all three debut releases becoming their “Track of The Week”. Vine has also been an incredibly popular addition to Sofar Sounds gigs around London throughout 2019.

The track builds from a brooding start to anthemic crescendo with passionate chorus and compelling versus between. Jangly lamenting guitar injects glimmers of scintillation throughout while a thumping beat drives adrenaline through your veins creating a dramatic and energetic backdrop. The track flows beautifully with crisp production and refined ethereal instrumentation as Vine presents an emotive and mesmerising track set to give you goosebumps.

The surging melody, passionate vocals and driving instrumentation keeps this track in your head for days as you crave to hear it again. With swagger dripping from the guitar whirs and a cinematic soundscape ‘Violet’ is a blast of Indie to dance around the room carelessly to.

Why We Like It: Encased in silky synths and 80’s soundscapes ‘Wedding Bells’ flurries and flutters on pulsing grooves and fuzzed guitar as it unfolds beautifully into your ears with psychedelic hues and blissful summer euphoria. Lushly crafted the track flows on a dreamy melody with a melancholic undertone as Joe Mount’s smooth vocals lament the sombre lyrics “I hear wedding bells… But they’re not for me.” There is a laid back, almost drowsy tone to the track as the electronics busy themselves behind the time stopping lull of the melody, creating a wonderful and engaging contrast before the chorus bursts in.
Volume 22 have released their debut single ‘Trip Out’. The band comprised of Tony Clarke (Guitar/Vocals), Joshua Greenley (Bass), and Nathan Exley (Drums) are a new rock band from Essex/Suffolk which has already had support from BBC Introducing and Bonehead the founding member and guitarist of Oasis.
‘Trip Out’ is a blistering indie track that spirals around whirring guitars and a floor shaking drum progression as Volume 22 announce themselves with a spectacular biting display. With a punchy rhythm holding the foundation for the soaring guitars to ricochet off this track is an instant ethereal shot of adrenaline.
