Rachel Grace is a singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who has been creating music from a very young age. At 13, she released her debut album and now at 18, she has just recently won the Four Star Pizza, Star Nation competition. Along the way she has also supported established Irish musicians such as Wallis Bird, Brian Deady, Don Mescal and Paddy Casey. She has also played a number of festivals including Vantastival & Electric Picnic.
Grace is a diverse and engaging performer who blends genres to suit her wonderful emotive style. Her mesmerising vocals showcase a warmth and maturity beyond her years, as do the passionate and well crafted tunes she writes. Grace stops time when she sings and her soulful songs and dreamy melodies are a joy to listen to.

Soda Blonde have released their live performance film ‘Love Me World’ on YouTube. This is not just a live performance but an epic, cinematic, performance film, the band wanted to raise the bar when it comes to live streaming and created a true masterpiece. Fresh off the back of their 2nd EP release, being named as one of Ireland’s top music acts in The Irish Times, support from BBC Radio 1, BBC Wales, BBC Radio Ulster, RTE 1, Today FM and 2FM, and with an album on the way, Soda Blonde are one of the fastest rising stars in the Irish music scene.
This performance is a real treat with the band providing both a unique and mesmerising visual as well as a standout performance containing a mix of the bands released and unreleased songs.

“For the launch of ‘Love Me World’ we wanted to create a livestream like no other. To do so we took inspiration from Lila Avilés’ ‘The Chambermaid’ and Jonathon Demme’s iconic ‘Stop Making Sense’. In a playful nod to the sterilised times we live in, the show opens with Faye dressed as a hotel cleaning lady. On her hands and knees she sanitises her way across a festooned catwalk to a heightened new world of her imagination. ‘Love Me World’ is about the idea of bending to fit the zeitgeist in the pursuit of acceptance and love. With that in mind we wanted our performance to evolve with each song and eventually lead to a ‘Cinderella’ moment. We had the pleasure of reviewing this amazing live stream back in September and were blow away by the bands ambition and talent.
Hailing from Co. Kildare with a sound that hovers close to the baroque pop and tender folk-rock of Roy Orbison and Glen Campbell, John Hynes songs are a storyboard for hopeless romantics and hopeless romances. His songwriting explores the grey areas of life and love, where the good and bad reside uncomfortably side-by-side. John’s previous singles reached No.1 on the RTE Radio 1 airplay chart and received plays on Today FM, Lyric FM, 4FM, Radio Nova, and a host of regionals.
John Hynes has a soothing warm voice. His poetic, moving lyrics and sweet melodies make for a wonderful listening experience. There is passion and emotion oozing from each of his catchy songs. A series of hybrid live and livestream gigs will take place across five nights in September at music venue Drop Dead Twice on Francis Street, Dublin 8.
Some of Ireland’s most up-and-coming artists will play live at the lightly-attended gigs on September 18th, 19th, 24th, 25th and 26th. The shows will also be professionally live streamed using a multi-camera set-up, bringing the live experience to viewers at home.

Laters with Griff… will be hosted in a table-service only environment by David Griffin (A.K.A. Griff), who is well-known as a champion of breaking Irish music. One of the founders of Knockanstockan, the frontman of Dublin band New Secret Weapon, and a solo musician in his own right, Griff has been putting on shows for most of his life and wants to use this opportunity to draw attention to the importance of restoring the capacity for skilled technicians and artists to do their jobs in safe and controlled environments.
About the event Griff says : “The motives behind producing this series of shows is to begin a narrative to restore the capacity for skilled technicians and artists to engage in their vocations in a safe and controlled environment within the regulations and parameters set out by our health officials and Government. As well as moving towards providing income for our decimated entertainment industry. We, along with so many people in the music and live events industries, are constantly innovating in this ever-changing climate that seems to move its goal posts every time we take a shot at restoration of the arts community.”

Tickets for each act will be sold separately and strictly limited 40 to per sitting. Attendees are kindly requested to arrive at their scheduled time, as admittance to the venue will not be possible until then. There will be a one way system in place for entering and exiting the venue, Covid tracing measures and hygiene kits on each table.
“Not only is the safety of staff and customers of utmost importance to us, but so is the opportunity we have to show that live music can be enjoyed responsibly and without breaking the law or putting anyone’s health at risk,” says Griff.
Griff has pulled in some amazing talent and dynamic live acts for this event. I am lucky to say I have seen most of these acts live and personally I am looking forward to this event. It’s one not to be missed.

The single follows the band’s second EP ‘isolation content’ released in May this year. The EP saw support from BBC Radio One’s Huw Stephens, Janice Long of BBC Radio Wales and Ireland’s biggest stations RTÉ Radio 1, Today FM and 2FM.Soda Blonde emerged from the ashes of internationally acclaimed band Little Green Cars; whose debut album saw them sky rocket to number one in the Irish album charts.
